Nyx Cream Blush Review and Swatches (Natural | Boho Chic | Tickeled)

In makeup, blush is always a girl’s best friend, well for me that is. I can’t go out without putting any blushes because I will definitely look very pale. Blushes alone can make girls extra pretty even without all the eye makeup. I have always been using a cheek tint for my everyday blush. Sometimes I use powder blushes, but for long lasting pigment I have always use cheek tints. But sometimes when you have extremely dry skin you can’t use both powder and cheek tints so I tried to find an alternative. At first I was hesitant to try cream blushes because I know that my face would react to the oil of the product, but I tried it anyway. I tried the Nyx Cream Blush which a lot of people have been raving about. It is the perfect blush for those people who are always on the go. They are so easy to use and it is very pigmented. Just a one swipe or tap in your cheeks and you get that healthy looking skin. It might just look a bit oily on the face because of its creamy texture but you can always set it with loose powder. The holding power is not very strong like the others but it’s good enough for everyday makeup and for the price. Totally worth the buy.

 

Nyx Xtreme Lip Cream Review and Swatches (Strawberry Jam | Buttery Nude | Bonfire)

Another lip product that I wanna share is the Xtreme Lipcream from Nyx. I only have 3 shades since I am not a big fan unlike the Nyx Matte Lipcreams.

When I first searched about the Matte Lipcreams, this also popped up in my search but after a few reads I found out that this is different. And out of curiosity, I bought these 3 shades. In my mind is that if the Matte Lipcreams are great then definitely this will be twice as great as it is. Well…it wasn’t what I expected but it is still okay just not really my type of lipstick. It’s actually a LIPGLOSS + LIPCREAM combined. And because I am not a big fan of lip gloss, I never raved about this product. But since this product is very pigmented I still kept it in my stash. But whenever I am wearing it, I definitely will have those moments where my hair would stick to my lips. But overall, this product is okay. Not perfect but good enough if you wanna have that added gloss.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream Review and Swatches (Sao Paulo | Tokyo | Antwerp | Buenos Aires | Istanbul | Amsterdam)

Whenever people ask me what brands I used for makeups, I am always very proud and happy to share about one brand and that is Nyx. They are very affordable and good quality makeups. They have a wide range of colors and products to select from and I rarely breakout on their products so that is really what makes it my favorite. Being it my favorite brand, I have tons of products that I wanted to share but the top among my favorite list is the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream.

I believe a lot of people will agree with me on this. This is the best lip product ever hence winning the Temptalia Editor’s Choice Award last 2012. I love their different range of lipsticks but this is just genius! It’s like a matte lipstick melted into a small lip gloss tube. It’s super easy to apply unlike other matte lipsticks. It glides easily but still gives you that matte lip look. The product smells like sweet vanilla but it’s bearable. I bought 6 different shades: Sao Paolo, Tokyo, Antwerp, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, Amsterdam.

Girls should really give this a try. Really worth every penny and once you tried this you will ignore your lipsticks for a while because this is so much easier to use but have the same effect. And for those of you who have tried this, I bet you will agree with me. And if you want to explore on colors you can combine this with your lipsticks and blending it will not be a problem. You might mistake this with Xtreme Lip Cream which is a totally different line. This is more matte and has a stronger holding power. Xtreme Lip Cream is also good but has a different feel. I’ll have a separate review on those in my next entry. For now, you better get your hands with one of these and try it out because I bet you will fall in love with it the way I did.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara Review VS. Maybelline theRocket Volume Express Mascara

Have you ever been pressured to buy something because everyone says they’re good but after trying it just wasn’t working out for you? Well pretty much everybody does. I bought this mascara because everyone says they’re so good, but after trying it a few times I just knew it wasn’t what I was looking for in a mascara.

It’s just too heavy in the eyes and it smudges which is a big factor for me for mascaras. It clumps and not only that, if you put a thick layer it smudges easily on oily eye circles. Not a pretty sight if you wanna have the mascara on the whole day. It still gives you that beautiful lashes but it was heavily marketed which obviously just as ordinary as the rest of the mascaras out there.

My ever most reliable mascara is still Maybelline!

This is my first ever mascara brand and until now it’s still my go to brand! I’m like their prodigal daughter that just comes back when all brands fails.  I tried their new product which is the Rocket Volume Mascara. The comb is so good that it prevents clumping of your lashes and it doesn’t smudge at the middle of the day which is really something you can only find in Maybelline mascaras.

What’s my judgment? By comparing this two, I would still go for Maybelline. It’s cheaper and really gives me lesser things to think about at the middle of the day. I would still give They’re Real mascara a try like in special occasions where I don’t need to have makeup on the whole day. But for me, the most reliable mascara brand is still Maybelline. I have tried a lot of brands but for some reason I still go back to using Maybelline and still never fails.
