Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Intense Lipsticks Swatches and Review (Mat 3 | 19 | 20 | 21 | 25 | 35)

Any makeup junkie will never get enough of just one lipstick. The more lipsticks we have the happier we are.  All makeup addicts will agree with me on this. And because of that I am reviewing a few MUFE lipsticks I just added in my collection.

After going thru the course in Makeup Forever Academy I just fell in love with their products. And because I am building up my makeups for my clients I bought these 6 shades of the Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Intense Lipsticks. A tip to those who wants to buy MUFE lipsticks: there is a Rouge Artist Natural range which is different than the intense range. The Natural range has a sheer coverage and the lipstick code numbers have an N at the beginning of each number. The Intense range is much pigmented and gives you that intense lip color. Below are the swatches of what I have purchased:

GOOD: All of their Intense lipsticks are very pigmented. All are moisturizing except the Mat 3 shade but it understandable since it’s meant to be matte finish. They are long lasting as well and the smell is not bad.

BAD: I don’t think there is something bad about these lipsticks but it could just be me.

VERDICT: I would say that MAC lipsticks are still better with their wide range of colors and the texture of their lipstick but I think this is still a good investment. It can still compete with MAC lipsticks but for me this is still a good addition to any makeup artist’s stash.

3 Concepte Eyes (3CE) Cosmetics Review and Swatches

My new makeup addiction is the famous Korean cosmetics, 3 Concept Eyes also known as 3CE. I have heard about this product for a while now but it took me awhile to finally jump into the bandwagon and when I finally did look how much I got:

There's no regret at all and I still want more! (sigh...makeup problems) Anyway I want to share with you my thoughts and also swatches of the products to give you a better idea of how good or bad they are.

LIPSTICKS (Come to Me | Scandal | Lala | Baaa | Celebrity)

I got 5 lipsticks with shades of the same Orange/Tangerine range. It is the "In-thing" in makeup nowadays and I am obsessed with it.

Good: They are highly pigmented and so moisturizing. It easily glides on your lips when you swipe it and the colours are just simply amazing! Most especially if you're into the Korean type of lip makeup then this is the right product for you.

Bad: It's not long lasting. After you eat and wipe your lips with tissue, it's gone. You have to do touchups every single time.

Verdict: It's good to have in your makeup stash but it's not your go to lipsticks when you have events or parties. These lipsticks actually reminds me of the Nyx Round Lipsticks. It's very pigmented and moisturizing but not long lasting.

LIP LACQUER (Showtime | xx Orange)

Good: Just like their lispsticks, it is very pigmented and the colors are very vibrant. It dries easily after application but does not leave your lips dry. This is perfect for the famous Korean Lip Trend using a nude lipstick all over the lip and this at the center of the lips.

Bad: It's not long lasting but better than the lipsticks.

Verdict: These reminds me of  Lime Crime's Velvetines liquid lipstick but I actually prefer this product more than the Velvetines because of the color selection that they have and the texture of the product. It may not be as long lasting as how we want it to be but it is really not that bad. Just as long as you don't eat oily stuffs and keep on wiping your lips, it'll last long enough 'til your next touchup.

LIP PIGMENT (Issue)

Good: Good color pigmentation and can mix with other Lip pigment color to achieve a different shade. The texture is cream and dries up as a matte.

Bad: The only bad about this is that you have to have a lip brush. You can dab it with your fingers but it's just gonna stain your fingers a bit.

Verdict:  I love this product and the fact that you can mix this with other lip colors to get new shades is an added plus. The texture of the product is wonderful, it feels matte but not really which is just like my ever favorite Nyx Matte lip cream.

DUO COLOR FACE BLUSH (Peach Crush)

Good: The texture is so smooth and fine and the color is amazing as well.

Bad: Doesn't last long. Just a swipe of tissue on your face then all the product goes straight to the tissue.

Verdict: I really love their colors most especially this shade. The color is just very suitable for korean type of makeup but I couldn't trust it staying on my face all day.

I would say that their products are good to try. It's not the makeup that professionals will use since most client's would prefer the lasting effect but there is a potential to it. Their color selections are really impressive most especially for the highly sought after "Korean style makeup". But I think this is just suitable for everyday use and for someone who is not lazy for touchups. But nevertheless, these products is something worth to try and I'm loving it.

Nyx Xtreme Lip Cream Review and Swatches (Strawberry Jam | Buttery Nude | Bonfire)

Another lip product that I wanna share is the Xtreme Lipcream from Nyx. I only have 3 shades since I am not a big fan unlike the Nyx Matte Lipcreams.

When I first searched about the Matte Lipcreams, this also popped up in my search but after a few reads I found out that this is different. And out of curiosity, I bought these 3 shades. In my mind is that if the Matte Lipcreams are great then definitely this will be twice as great as it is. Well…it wasn’t what I expected but it is still okay just not really my type of lipstick. It’s actually a LIPGLOSS + LIPCREAM combined. And because I am not a big fan of lip gloss, I never raved about this product. But since this product is very pigmented I still kept it in my stash. But whenever I am wearing it, I definitely will have those moments where my hair would stick to my lips. But overall, this product is okay. Not perfect but good enough if you wanna have that added gloss.

Below are the swatches of the 3 shades (Strawberry Jam | Buttery Nude | Bonfire)

OCC Lip Tar – Trollop/Harlot/Grandma/Divine Swatches & Review

I bet most of you have heard or have seen this product before. Most makeup gurus as well as makeup enthusiasts have either posted a photo using this or have spoken about this product. Well, being a makeup enthusiast myself of course I wanted to try it out and see whether it’s a good addition to my makeup collection.

If you see some photos of this product the first thing that will capture your attention is their wide color variation. You can go from sweet pinks to bright reds or go from lime yellow to Goth black. The colors are that wild! It’s cool because you get to explore those colors that you thought would never suit you. But of course knowing myself I will always go for the safe ones. I bought four colors which are basically wearable for everyday makeup and also good for special occasions. There are a lot of colors to choose from and honestly it took me awhile before I finally decided to take these four and I’m quite happy with my selection.

This product is very pigmented that with just a small amount of product is enough for a subtle lip color and yet it’s totally buildable so you won’t have a problem getting that bold lip effect that you desire. It has that cool minty feeling when applied and the peppermint smell is not that bad. The lasting power is surprisingly good. I never expected it because the product is in liquid form, but since it dries up once applied it holds up for a period of time.

Here are the colors with their swatches:

You should try this out. It’s a good product for anyone who wants to explore on lip colors.
